During a presentation with Spanish secondary students regarding crime in the United States, I printed various weird (and often funny) laws of the U.S. on small slips of paper and gave one to each student. Then, I had various students read their laws and talk briefly about their reaction to that law and why they think it was created. This also sparked a little bit of discussion for the whole class. This activity could also be adapted for other countries. Below are a couple of YouTube videos regarding weird laws that may be shown to the students.
